Anthony, born and raised in Montreal. Daniela, born in Bogotá, moved to Montreal at the age of 12.

They met through mutual friends (shout out to Romeo and Alex) in 2013. Right away, Anthony asked Daniela to teach him every Spanish curse word she could think of in one afternoon. He wasted no time adding her on social media, and they started talking nonstop.

Soon after, Anthony started college at the same place as Daniela. They officially started dating on January 17, 2014—almost 12 years ago.

Their first unofficial date was a little unusual: they drank wine and watched stand-up comedy all afternoon. It might not have been fancy, but they wouldn’t change it for anything.

In 2022, Daniela moved to Toronto for work. That was their first (and only) time doing long-distance. It didn’t last long—seven weeks later, Anthony quit his job and joined her in Toronto, where they now live.

Their proposal was short and sweet. They were spending a day in Paris on their way to Italy, where Anthony had planned to pop the question. But he couldn’t wait. While walking through Le Jardin de la Tour Eiffel, he proposed.

Now, they’re getting married in Colombia to celebrate with the people they love from both of their home countries.
